Speaking with a doctor can help you identify ways to take care of yourself and manage your health concerns. Our physicians can be your family doctor while you’re a student at Acadia.

Services are provided during the academic year (Sept - April) by: Family doctors 

  • Health/wellness education
  • Medical diagnosis and treatment of health concerns
  • Medicals (sports teams pre-employment, driver's license) *Fee applies
  • Throat swabs and urine cultures for infection screening
  • Confidential testing for all Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI's) and HIV
  • Confidential testing for Hep B, Hep C and Syphilis
  • Pregnancy tests
  • Emergency contraception *small fee applies
  • Referrals to specialists, counsellors and other health providers
  • Pap smears
  • Birth control
  • Blood pressure
  • First aid
  • Dressing changes
  • General travel vaccine information and administration
  • Allergy injections
  • Vaccinations * fee applies
